Pitchline for iPhone
This Privacy Policy explains how Pitchline handles information when you use the Pitchline iPhone application.
Effective and last updated: July 22, 2026
Pitchline does not require an account, does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. Your projects, measurements, notes, job addresses, and optional photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Pitchline.
This policy applies to the Pitchline iPhone app and to support communications you send to us. It does not apply to third-party services that operate under their own privacy policies, including Apple services used to distribute the app and process purchases.
Pitchline processes only the information needed to provide its measurement, project, reporting, and purchase features.
Project names, client references, job addresses, notes, dates, and measurement records you choose to enter.
Device orientation and gravity data used in real time to calculate roof pitch and slope.
Camera preview and photos you choose to capture for visual roof pitch estimates.
Settings such as units, measurement mode, calibration values, and placement guidance preferences.
Project records and app preferences are stored on your device. Motion data is processed on-device and is not retained as a continuous sensor log. Camera access begins only when you open Camera Alignment. A photo is stored with a measurement only when you choose to capture and save it.
If you export a report or share content, iOS sends the file or text only to the destination you select. After export, that copy is controlled by the selected app, person, storage location, or service and is subject to their privacy practices.
The Pitchline app does not send your projects, measurements, notes, job addresses, photos, motion readings, or device identifiers to us. The app does not:
Pitchline uses device motion to calculate pitch and slope. This processing occurs on your iPhone. Disabling motion access will prevent sensor-based measurements from working.
Camera access is optional and is requested only for Camera Alignment. You can continue using sensor-based measurements without granting camera access. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Pitchline uses Apple's StoreKit to offer and restore Pitchline Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple using your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may process purchase, device, and account information under Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and diagnostic details. We use this information only to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain the app. Support email may be processed by our email service provider and retained as reasonably necessary for these purposes or to meet legal obligations.
Please do not include confidential client information or unnecessary personal information in a support request.
Locally stored projects, measurements, notes, and photos remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Deleting the app generally removes its locally stored data, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you control. You are responsible for deleting exported copies from their destination.
You may ask us to delete personal information contained in support correspondence by contacting us. We may retain limited information where required by law or when reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Pitchline relies on iOS application sandboxing and device security protections for locally stored information. No method of storage or communication is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS up to date, especially if project records contain client or job-site information.
Pitchline is a professional utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a support message, contact us so we can address it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold about you, including rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use. Because app data stays on your device, you can access and manage it directly in Pitchline. For personal information contained in support communications, contact us using the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Pitchline's features, data practices, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in an updated policy made available with the app or on this page.
